[Haul + Review] Macy’s Beauty Box March 2018

Macy’s Beauty Box – March 2018

I’m going to be completely blunt, I have yet to be impressed by a Macy’s Beauty Box.

The Macy’s Beauty Box includes 1 Make Up Bag, honestly the best part of the box for me, 5 ‘Deluxe Samples’ + 1 Extra (which happened to be a fragrance sample), and a coupon. The coupon originally was a $5 off coupon but they have since changed it to be a $10 off ANY beauty purchase coupon, it’s a bit confusing as not all their advertising has been updated to show the $10 coupon. If you use the coupon, in all honesty, the monthly subscription is not a bad deal but I personally don’t care for any of the items I have gotten.

What it Included:

Lacome Andvance Genifique Serum – 0.27 oz

Clarins Extra Firming Day Cream – 0.1 oz

MAC Strobe Cream Illuminating Moisturizer – 0.2 oz

Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Night Cream – 0.17 oz

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence – 0.3 oz

Carolina Herrera Good Girl – 0.05 oz

Majority of the items they send out are skin care items, while some may love this, I personally do not care for skin care samples. If you shop regularly with Macy’s you know that most of these items are free gifts with purchase, for example, when you spend $75 on Estee Lauder right now you actually get the Resilience Lift Night Cream Sample plus a TON of other items. Macy’s regularly have these free gifts with purchase available for all their makeup, specifically department store exclusives, these monthly bags feel like a way for them to clear out stock.

While I know my mom would love little goodies like this the reason I don’t like most skin care samples is to really see if they work you have to use them consistently for weeks, you don’t get enough product to test them for that long in these little things. Realistically, I would not purchase any of these except the MAC in the full size due to the price, that being considered these samples are greatly worth the price you pay.

I used my coupon on an NYX glitter Brilliance and an ABH pencil sharpener, my total came out to just over $2 with free shipping.

I will continue to use my subscription for the bag and coupon, I personally don’t recommend this monthly subscription unless you’re really interested in some department store samples but in all honesty you can go to Macy’s makeup counter in person and they will give you free samples they have in stock.
